Carolina Guidolin attends Global Young Scientists Summit (GYSS)

From 8 to 12 January 2024, our group member Carolina Guidolin attended the Global Young Scientists Summit (GYSS) 2024 in Singapore, as part of TUMCREATE’s five representatives. The GYSS is an annual meeting where selected young scientists from across the world network and discuss pressing scientific and meta-scientific topics and meet Nobel Laureates.

During the week, the attendees visited various research institutes in Singapore and their laboratories and met the brilliant teams behind them. They also engaged in panel discussions about science communication, translation of findings from the lab to the real world and how the scientific community can foster a more supportive research environment.

Furthermore, in small group sessions, the renowned speakers shared personal insights into their careers with GYSS participants, highlighting the highs and lows of their journeys in science. Attending the GYSS was a unique experience to connect with other early career researchers as well as get inspired by established scientists!
