Max Planck POSTECH/Korea Research Initiative Fellows from South Korea join MPI

The Max Planck Research Group Translational Sensory and Circadian Neuroscience welcomes two undergraduates from South Korea through the Max Planck POSTECH/Korea Research Initiative.

In 2023, we are delighted to host Boyun Lee (Ewha Womans University) and Changi Im (Kyungpook National University).

Boyun Lee is a fourth-year undergraduate student studying Brain & Cognitive Sciences at Ewha Womans University in Seoul. Passionate about computational neuroscience, she aspires to decode the human brain and replicate its intricacies through AI. Beyond academia, she enjoys writing stories, blogging about her daily life, singing, cooking, and traveling. She seeks challenges and yearns to learn new things about the world and the people, always eager to gain fresh perspectives.

Changi Im is a final-year undergraduate student majoring in Electronics Engineering at Kyungpook National University. He has a strong passion for image processing research and is interested in building intelligent image-based algorithms that can understand the real world. When he's not studying, he enjoys riding his bike, going for runs outside, and swimming in the pool for fun.

Boyun will be working on a project investigating accommodative responses to different stimuli, supervised by Maydel Fernandez-Alonso. Changi will be working on understanding statistical regularities in natural images. Welcome!
