TUM Digital Health Technology Innovation Lab: Teaching interdisciplinary digital health

On the weekend of 29 & 30 July 2023, we ran the final in-person weekend of the TUM Digital Health Technology Innovation Lab. The course, designed and run by Dr. Anna Biller from our group and André Andonian (McKinsey), exposed students at TUM from a variety of backgrounds to on innovation in the domain of digital health and digital medicine technology. The focus was on a range of stakeholders in this area, covering healthcare providers, insurances, medical equipment & technology providers, pharma/biotech companies, venture capital and digital transformation.

Designed as a blended-learning course comprising two in-person weekends and semester-long weekly guest lectures by prominent international experts, the course attracted 15 highly talented and motivated students from health science, science and technology and politics. We look forward to running the course again in 2023 and continue our collaboration with André Andonian and his team.
