Order now: Daylight Academy Booklet about the 2022 Summer School “Measuring Light and Illumination”

In August 2022, the Daylight Academy Interdisciplinary Summer School “Measuring Light and Illumination” brought together a diverse group of students and lecturers to learn about measuring light and its effects on human health. Located in Chexbres, Switzerland, with a stunning view of Lake Geneva, the school drew inspiration from the cyanometer – an 18th-century instrument used to measure the colour of the sky by visual inspection. The location in Switzerland reflects where de Saussure used his cyanometer to measure the sky’s colour, namely on his tours onto Mont Blanc.

Edited by Anna Biller and Manuel Spitschan, we are happy to make available a booklet summarising the experiences and learnings of the students and lecturers who took part in these five enlightening days. The number of booklets is limited, and will be sent on a first come, first serve basis. The order is free of charge.

The booklet is licensed under the Creative Commons license (CC-BY-NC-ND) and has the DOI 10.14459/2023md1709544.
