Girma Sisay Negashe joins the MPI as a CaCTüS Intern

We are happy to welcome Girma Sisay Negashe, who is joining us as a summer intern as part of the CaCTüS programme (Computation and Cognition Tübingen Summer Internship) at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics. The CaCTüS Internship program is designed to support talented students facing significant challenges in pursuing higher education and scientific development.

Girma, a skilled researcher with expertise in machine learning, image processing, eHealth, computer vision, and data science. He's been actively involved in software development since 2019, designing problem-solving systems. Girma is also an accomplished educator, teaching programming, database, data structure, and related subjects to university students at the University of Gondar. As a dedicated researcher, Girma has made significant contributions to eHealth, collaborating with health professionals and engaging in various research projects with the eHealth Lab Ethiopia research group.

In our group, Girma will be focusing on the analysis of natural scenes under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Manuel Spitschan and Niloufar Tabandeh.
